Little Things.

The train I rode home from work had "CALM" scratched into the glass of a window. An obvious act of vandalism, but one of the nicer ones I've seen.
Waiting for the doors to open at my stop I saw that someone else had scribbled with a Sharpie on the lighting panel, "Go fuck yourself."
Oddly relaxed, this one made me smile too.

(Post about PDA on public transport pulled? Probably for good reason, in commenting, I was going to disengage autotwitter and go for the sort of full on rant that anyone who uses public transport will recognise as meeting the need to vent, but anyone else might consider as proof of my being a candidate for exorcism.

Surely not pulled because this close to VD you don’t want to be cast as the Scrooge of the romantic Saint’s day? Were Hallmark going to send round the heavies?)

Suffice to say I sympathise. If you and your partner are going to try for a dual tonsillectomy using nothing but tongues right there on the platform, then the least you can expect is an ‘ewwwwwwwwwwww’ from your neighbour. If it was just eye-rolling they got away lightly. My favoured reaction is the full body clench, starting with the teeth and ending with the toes, the squeal of enamel is horrendous.

As for unacceptable behaviour…here’s an example. Coughing. Now I can appreciate you might want to cough but it’s when it’s one person going cough, cough f**king cough all the time! Like a metronome. Cough. Silence. Cough. Silence. Cough. Silence…more silence. Cough. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! What’s with that - these are office workers, not coal miners or folk working with asbestos.

Hummmn, am I coming across as intolerant?

you're brilliant.

and sadly, after being called a love-hater by someone I try to impress, I pulled the post. I completely regret that now, having wondered how far your rant might have gone. don't you love how VD and VD have the same initials? Yea, me too.
